Loves and hates. Love the color. A very beautiful dark blue. Love the graphic. Gives your diary a very shadowy feel, and makes me wonder if this will be the theme. Love the font for the links. Don't recognize it offhand, but still very nice. Hate that when I mouse over a link, all I see is the link to your index page. Call me lazy, but I like being able to see the link I'm going to in the status bar. I realize your links are rather cut and dry when it comes to explanations, but I'm a lazy bitch who likes to look at the status bar. 'Cause I'm quirky. 'k? Also, in the entries themselves, it would be nice if there were a way to actually SEE the link. I'm not one to move my mouse through an entry just to see if there are links. Bold, underlined, different font color, whatever. It would just be nice.
Ah, you added an entry on me. Okay, you have a URL lock, I get it. ::takes a little snoop into your source:: I think I know why it's doing it, though. I'm not especially HTML-qualified, but hold on...
You have the image up top linked directly to your diary. I right clicked it, just to see, and the entire table got highlighted. So I started there.

See that? There should be a ">" right after walk away". Try that, and see if it doesn't fix it. I tested it on my "play with HTML" dland account, and I think it worked. Okay, on to the rest of your review.
Page transitions. Oh how I do hate page transitions. I may end up smashing my keyboard before this review is up. They are severely pointless. For a steady reader, I doubt this is much of a problem, seeing as how they're only reading one or two entries at a time, but when you're a reviewer who has to sit through each and every one, it just makes the entire process very irritating.
Hate the inline scroll. Then again, I hate all inline scrolls, so what's new? It does work well with this design, though, so I really shouldn't complain. It gives it an organized feel. Combined with the page transitions however, it's going to give my brain a serious spasm as we go along.
You have 69 linkers. ::snicker:: Yes, I am an immature little pervert at the ripe old age of 20.
Just looking at your site meter tells me I have my work cut out for me. Almost 43,000 visitors? Goodness, kill me now. 725 entries? ::passes out::
Wow, font on the older page is way huge. Perhaps drop it down a notch or two? Inline scroll is annoying enough without huge chunky letters blocking the way, ya get me? Groovy.
I've switched pages four times now to get to the first entry, and I'm already ready to bite my hands off to keep from having to put up with the page transition. This is going to be a long review. ::sigh::
Oh, you're one of those people who posts IM conversations a lot. ::sigh:: So very much pointless.
I hate it when guys do that.
I can't stand it when people don't capitalize. I realize the majority of dlanders do not realize where the shift key is on their keyboard, it just makes reading a bit more difficult. Especially when I'm fighting with large paragraphs and an inline scroll.
That is hilarious. Just had to mention that.
You smoke the same kind of cigarettes as me. We now have a bond. Or something.
This has to be the longest review I've had so far. Sheesh.
I'm not sure whether I like it or not. While there were many highlights throughout, including grimacing and cringing over your description of your hospital visit, there were also times when I was sighing and skimming and just wishing the review were over with already. It's not horrible. You put a lot of feeling and emotion into it, and you're very thorough, which is very cool. Some entries actually made me chuckle out loud. I think most of the problems just stem from my issues with your design. It sort of altered my review-o-vision. All in all, it's not half bad.
So, Kylie, I give your diary a pat on the head, a shuffle of my feet, and a bonsai tree. They like being talked to.
::nod nod::
And there you go.
